Ana originally received her yoga certification from the Sydney Yoga Centre under the mentorship of Eve Grzybowsky. After teaching, traveling and training with various teachers across Australia and in the U.S.A, Ana founded the Bondi Bliss Yoga Studio in Sydney’s Eastern suburbs, focusing on gentle classes for the older student, as well as for pregnancy, post partum and children.
In 2007, Ana undertook a ‘sea-change’ to Australia’s small coastal town, Byron Bay, where she went on to start Bliss Baby, teaching weekly prenatal & ‘mums n bubs’ yoga classes for the local community, as well as training other teachers in this specialized area. In 2008, Ana was invited by John Ogilvie to join his faculty of teacher trainers for Byron Yoga Centre. Ana is now a senior teacher at Byron Yoga Centre, conducting general and Women’s Health sessions on the teacher training courses and retreats in Australia, and abroad - in Vietnam and India.
Since 2007 Ana has been refining her 2 - 3 day prenatal & postnatal teacher training intensive, and now conducts this workshop regularly in Australia and Japan.
Ana’s teaching style and methodology is diverse and eclectic. Her style is flowing, combining breath and movement, but also taking the time for stillness and intelligent alignment principles. She employs props for therapy and support, and loves to introduce students and teachers alike to the incredible power of Restorative Yoga.
Ana is also a freelance writer. Her articles regularly appear in the Australian Yoga Life and Wellbeing Magazines. She is Editor for the Byron Yoga Centre’s E-Newsletter. She also holds a Diploma in Remedial Massage, and an Honours Degree in Japanese feminism.
As mother to 7 year old, Marley, Ana is passionate about sharing the benefits and joys of yoga for every stage of one’s life journey.
