The Bliss Baby Pre natal and Post natal Intensives are the most practical, information-packed, and affordable courses of their kind.
The pre natal and post natal course modules are designed to equip you with greater knowledge, confidence and a comprehensive ‘tool kit’ of appropriate asanas and practices for safely teaching pregnant women during all stages of pregnancy, as well as confidently guiding post-partum women.
This is an ideal course for teachers or trainees who wish to specialise in teaching yoga classes for pregnant women or new mothers. Many of the people who have taken this course are now running successful pregnancy yoga and/or mums n bubs yoga classes.
What We Will Cover:
- Contraindicated / indicated poses for the three trimesters
- Asanas for common back problems & ailments during pregnancy
- Yoga poses & practices to prepare for birth (active birth positions) & the stages of labour
- Contraindicated / indicated poses for the post natal period
- Asanas for common back problems & ailments post-natally
- use of props and application of restorative yoga in pre and post natal classes
- Conducting a prenatal yoga class – timetabling and sequencing
- Conducting a ‘Mums n Bubs’ class – curriculum and sequencing (including baby yoga)
Prerequisites
The Intensive modules are suitable for yoga teachers and teacher trainees (at minimum of level 1), and anyone interested in finding out more about the benefits and applications of yoga pre and post natally.
The instructors
We have a great team of experienced and passionate women’s health teachers:
Ana Davis has been teaching yoga since 1996 and is founder of Bondi Bliss Yoga Studio in Sydney. Ana has been specialising in the area of teaching and training teachers in pre/post natal yoga for the last 6 years. She is regularly invited to conduct this workshop in Japan. See more about Ana here .
Emma Grant has been practicing yoga since 1996 and teaching since 2001. She has maintained her practice of yoga, meditation and Ayurveda throughout her pregnancies and into motherhood. Trained in pregnancy & postnatal yoga, Emma has also studied Ayurveda at Naturecare (Sydney) and with Ayurvedic Doctors in India. Emma is Founder and Director of Red Tent Yoga, a yoga school specializing in classes for pre/post natal women, and children.
Anna Watts is a qualified Childbirth Educator who has been guiding women and their partners through the journey of pregnancy and birth since 1990. Anna will lead the session on Birth and the Stages of Labour.

Cost
Each Weekend Module costs $480 (early bird price, 6 weeks prior to course start date, is $450).
